As the driving force behind the People Person Department, Miranda’s role is to incorporate SSi’s high corporate culture standards into every facet of a person’s employment with the company. This means selecting people who are ecstatic to join the team, continually surprising them with the level of detail, genuine care, and consideration they are met with at every stage, and taking the time to turn each new addition into a member of the SSi family who will be poised to hold the door open to the next newcomer when the time is right.
Miranda’s passion for spotting opportunities and finding creative approaches to everyday workplace challenges has evolved through past experience in Digital Media, Communications, and Writing.Truly a “people person” herself, Miranda aims to adapt the functions of the department to suit the people they serve, and she is given the creative freedom to do so.

Often found lying at the front door of the SSi Ottawa office, in a patch of sunlight waiting for a belly rub. When Foenix's best friend Dean is out of office, Foenix looks for love and treats from anyone who might offer. When closed door conferences are happening, SSi staff will automatically go open the door to let Foenix in when she demands it.
Eddie is the oh so beloved pup of SSi owners, Stef and Jeff. In the Yellowknife office, it’s not uncommon to pass Eddie trailing his Mom carrying his favourite (preferably pink) plush toy, or making guest appearances in meetings. In his spare time, Eddie takes his humans for hikes in the woods, eats correctly sized bites of burger or tenderloin, and tops his days off with long lazing sessions in bed.
